Job Description

• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural fabrication works.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings.
• Knowledge of weld symbols.
• Cutting, grinding, and beveling knowledge.
• Preparation knowledge of structural fit-up joints.
• Proficient in use of fabrication tools.
• Fabrication fit-up tolerance knowledge.
• Understanding of structural members (beam, channel, angle, etc.) including material grades and specifications.

Additional Requirements for Trade Test

• Minimum 6 years of experience in fabrication and erection of offshore structures such as jackets, piles, decks, modules, bridges, and brownfield items.
• Age limit: below 40 years.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and cutting sheets.
• Knowledge of fabrication sequence for offshore structures.
• Understanding of structural members (beam, channel, angle, pipe, etc.) and material grades.
• Knowledge of material specifications and weld symbols.
• Cutting, grinding, and beveling knowledge.
• Fit-up joint preparation knowledge.
• Understanding of WPS and use of fabrication tools.
• Knowledge of fabrication fit-up tolerance.
• Safety awareness: JHA, Permit to Work, and Lifesaving Rules.
• ITI qualification or relevant trade test certification.

Tools Required for Trade Test

• Gas cutting set.
• Grinding machine (AG7) with cutting and grinding discs.
• Plate 20 mm thickness or above.
• Beam 200 mm and above.
• Soft stone.
• Right angle.
