Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Reporting Supervisor to join our team at GIG Egypt. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports in accordance with Egyptian accounting standards and IFRS. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide accurate and timely financial insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in financial reporting within the insurance or audit sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
General Financial Reporting:
Responsible for timely accurate financial reports based on actuals, forecasted and budgeted figures.
Able to analyze financial data with different views to serve management and stakeholders’ needs.
Internal Reporting requirements:
Prepare, analyze and communicate detailed monthly financial performance reports to internal stakeholders with Egyptian accounting standards.
Prepare, analyze and communicate detailed quarterly financial performance reports to BOD.
Prepare and communicate detailed yearly BOD presentation on financials and any other analysis required.
Prepare yearly budget presented to the BOD.
External Reporting requirements:
Prepare and communicate detailed monthly financial performance reports to external stakeholders with IFRS view.
Prepare and communicate detailed quarterly financial performance reports to external stakeholders (Group and Fairfax) with IFRS view.
Prepare clear mapping between local and IFRS results.
Prepare long term plan presented to the Group.
Communication and Documentation:
Interact with external and internal customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
Track and report according to Egyptian and IFRS standards within different reporting periods.
Maintain policy and procedure documents related to financial reporting.
Job Requirements
Skills and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (IFRS Diploma is an asset).
Experience:
6-10 years of experience in financial reporting within insurance or audit firms.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Time Management:
Ability to manage and meet deadlines, work efficiently under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Language, Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent English, team-working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
