Context :

We are looking for an experienced Application Modernization Architect to lead a large-scale migration program from a mainframe environment to the cloud in the IT sector. The mission involves re-architecting legacy C/C++ applications to cloud-native solutions based on PostgreSQL and microservices.

• Start date: ASAP

Missions :

• To define the modernization roadmap (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Re-architect)
• Perform the evaluation of legacy systems (C/C++, batch, online transactions)
• Design the target cloud-native architecture
• establish a strategy for the gradual coexistence of Mainframe and Cloud
• Driving the adoption of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices
• Analyze complex C/C++ codebases and tightly coupled modules
• Refactor or re-architect legacy applications into modular services
• Designing an API layer for legacy systems
• Ensure the migration of data (DB2, VSAM to PostgreSQL)

Required technical skills:

• Mainframe : z/OS, DB2, VSAM, JCL
• Langages legacy : C/C++
• Databases: PostgreSQL (advanced tuning, high availability)
• Cloud : AWS, Azure ou GCP
• Conteneurisation : Kubernetes, Docker
• Architecture : Syst mes distribu s haute performance, microservices, DDD
