KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of operations staff, including freight forwarding executors, customs brokers, and logistics specialists.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance the teams skills and knowledge ensuring all team members are trained in using the FRESA software.
Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and implement efficient and standardized operational procedures to ensure smooth and streamlined freight forwarding processes.
- Ensure all freight forwarding transactions are entered and maintained in FRESA software or equivalent, as used by ASA YD logistics
Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and issues related to operations.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels and build long-term relationships with clients.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with relevant freight forwarding regulations, customs laws, and international trade policies.
- Ensure the companys compliance with all legal requirements, import/export regulations, and security protocols.
Vendor Management:
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with transportation carriers, freight agents, customs brokers, and other service providers.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly and make necessary changes to improve service quality and cost-effectiveness.
Supply Chain Optimization:
- Collaborate with the key account managers and procurement teams to optimize supply chain processes
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the supply chain.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the business and its assets.
- Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and disruptions.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
- Utilize data analysis to drive informed decision-making and identify trends for business growth.
