FTTH Engineer/Designer SEGULA Technologies

Key Responsibilities

• Area engineering: Define the network segmentation (Back Areas of Mutualization Point - ZAPM).

• Sizing: Calculate the number of sockets to be connected and define the need for cables and equipment (NRO, PM, PBO).

• Network layout: Optimize cable routing by using existing infrastructure (poles, underground conduits) to limit civil engineering costs.

2. Software and Data Proficiency

• Create cable pulling and welding plans using GIS (Geographic Information System) software.

• Ensure data compliance in inventory management tools (Netwin, Geofibre, Gigaline, etc.).

3. Project Management and Fieldwork

• Field surveys: Analyze the technical constraints on site to validate the feasibility of the route.

• Technical monitoring: Providing support to deployment teams in case of technical roadblocks during the work.

• External relations: Exchange with local authorities or infrastructure managers (e.g. Orange, Enedis).

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• GIS software: Essential proficiency in QGIS or ArcGIS.

• CAD/CAM: AutoCAD for detailed plans.

• Standards: Knowledge of FTTH engineering rules (e.g., ARCEP rules in France).

• Load calculation: Knowing how to use tools like COMAC or Cap-FT for air support is a real plus.
