Gantry Crane Operator

Main tasks:

• Responsible for operating a gantry crane (bridge).

Duties (tasks and responsibilities):

• To take into account and communicate to one's hierarchy any risk that could compromise the exercise of one's activity, and to implement the appropriate actions in accordance with the guidelines.
• Perform the pre-operation checks on the lifting equipment (unblocking, stabilization, etc.) and check the condition of the equipment.
• Access the cab, secure yourself with harnesses, test the transmission systems... and put the crane into working order.
• Maneuver the gantry, position the pulley block and sling the loads.
• Lifting and distributing loads at different locations.
• Check the condition of the gantry, identify any malfunctions and carry out maintenance.
• Put the gantry in out-of-service configuration and perform the end-of-shift safety operations (immobilization, electrical supply...).

In terms of QHSE:

• Respect the general safety instructions and rules in force within the Company and on the Project site.
• Apply the procedures and rules dictated within the framework of the Integrated Management System.
• Bring appropriate collective and individual protective equipment (CPE and PPE) to the project level.
• Follow the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer, contained in the equipment or machine's user manual.
• Check the condition of the equipment before use, to ensure the absence of any defects that could harm safety and/or the environment and report any anomalies observed.
• To operate, handle and use one's equipment with professionalism, caution... and in strict compliance with safety rules.
• Communicate any malfunction or relevant information related to the activity to your superiors.

• Formation g n rale :3 AS.
• Vocational training: CAP (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Driving and Maintenance of Construction Equipment.
• Professional experience: 05 years.
• Immediate availability.
