Job Description
Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation.
Prepare journal entries and ensure proper classification of accounts.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Issue and record customer invoices.
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables.
Perform AR aging analysis and support collections when required.
Accounts Payable (AP)
Review, record, and process supplier invoices.
Ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Taxation & Compliance
Prepare and upload tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, or other applicable taxes) on the relevant government platforms.
Ensure accuracy of tax calculations and compliance with submission deadlines.
Maintain proper tax documentation and records for audits or reviews.
Reconciliation & Reporting Support
Perform bank and cash reconciliations on a regular basis.
Assist in preparing monthly financial summaries and reports.
Support external accountants, auditors, or tax consultants when needed.
General Support
Maintain organized financial files and documentation.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure financial accuracy.
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a General Accountant or similar role.
Hands-on experience in daily accounting operations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and tax submissions.
Experience working without reliance on a specific ERP or accounting system (manual or basic tools experience acceptable).
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of accounting principles and basic financial controls.
Practical experience in VAT and tax submission platforms.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to organize and manage financial records efficiently.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Basic proficiency in MS Excel and accounting documentation.
