Job Purpose: As VP- Group Marketing the responsibilities include to define, plan, prepare, and implement marketing plans that promote Kalaam Telecom group businesses potentials. As a Group VP of Marketing Communications in Telecommunications, you will support in developing the brand positioning of Kalaam and it’s subsidiaries and market the portfolio of complex voice & data products and services also determining the demand for products offered by Kalaam Telecom and its competitors and identify potential customers with a range of pricing and solution promotions for existing & potential new customers. Roles & responsibilities: • Develop and drive the marketing strategy: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's business objectives and support the growth of the telecom ISP in each country of operation. This includes both focused tactical campaign towards B2B & brand development. A range of BTL & ATL marketing strategies to be implemented. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives and consistently analyze and report on the performance of marketing programs to ensure alignment with business goals and optimize ROI. • Team leadership and management: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team across multiple geographies. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to enable the team to deliver on marketing KPIs and drive successful campaigns. • Brand management & Marketing Communications: Oversee the development and maintenance of a strong and consistent brand across all markets, ensuring brand positioning and messaging resonate with target audiences and reflect the company’s values and offerings. Drive integrated marketing communications initiatives, including advertising, public relations, digital marketing, social media, and content marketing to engage customers and drive brand awareness. • Tactical Support in Campaigning solutions & GTM plans: Collaborate with product management teams to develop and execute effective product marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. • Market research and customer insights: Utilize market research, analysis, and customer insights to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities to inform marketing strategies and initiatives. • Drive digital marketing initiatives – Invest in Digital marketing initiatives for both brand and tactical campaigns across group aligned with each respective business segments. • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with sales, product, digital and customer experience teams to ensure alignment and integration of marketing strategies with overall business objectives and deliver a seamless customer experience. Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop long-term business plans for the company. • Budget management: Develop and manage marketing budgets across multiple countries, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective implementation of marketing programs. • Other: o Promote positive relations with suppliers, partners and clients. o Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations. o Plan the concepts, establish the objectives, and direct the activities of the international media advertising promotional campaign for the company. o Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs. o Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows and event manage along with the marketig team, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services. o Participate in the development of new project proposals, should it be required. o Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company. Education: • MBA or at least bachelor’s degree in marketing communications or equivalent. • Diploma/ Degree / Certificate in ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Experience: • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Marketing. • Experience in Telecommunication/ IT sector or Branding Agencies. Skills: • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel, etc.). • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills. • Leadership The marketing team will perform against the leadership standards set by the Head. • Dependability: Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations. • Attention to Detail & Timeliness: Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks and deliver on time. • Cooperation: Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude. • Communication: the Group VP of Marketing Communications has responsibility for ensuring that marketing goals are communicated across the team. • Ideation: an element of creativity, is vital for a Group VP of Marketing Communications to come up with new marketing strategies for the marketplace. • Campaign management: New products will be a key factor of the Group VP of Marketing Communications s performance. Their success will be the Group VP of Marketing Communications’ success along with GTM and Product team. • Networking: It will be vital for the Group VP of Marketing Communications to represent the organizations out in the community at a variety of networking events and conferences. • Performance Management With success derived from the teams’ performance it may mean that the Group VP of Marketing Communications must take responsibility for any underperformance. • Integrity: Job requires being honest and ethical.
