Head – Beneficiation Plant (Coltan & Cassiterite) Stratmin

Plant Design & Commissioning

• Lead finalisation of flowsheet design for coltan–cassiterite beneficiation (scrubbing, classification,

gravity separation, concentration, tailings handling).

• Work closely with geology and mining teams to align ROM characteristics with plant design.

• Oversee installation, dry & wet commissioning, and ramp-up to nameplate capacity within tight

timelines.

• Ensure plant layout is modular, scalable, and cost-efficient, suitable for African operating conditions.

Operations & Performance

• Own day-to-day plant operations: throughput, recovery, grade consistency, downtime control.

• Drive recovery optimisation for Ta₂O₅ / Nb₂O₅ and tin concentrates through process tuning.

• Establish SOPs for shift operations, maintenance, reagent usage, water recycling, and tailings.

• Monitor and improve plant KPIs: recovery %, availability, specific power & water consumption.

Team & Capability Building

• Build and train a local Rwandan plant operations team (operators, fitters, supervisors).

• Implement skill-transfer programs to reduce expatriate dependence over time.

• Enforce strong safety culture and compliance with statutory and ESG standards.

Compliance & ESG

• Ensure compliance with Rwanda mining regulations, environmental norms, and ESIA commitments.

• Maintain high standards of tailings safety, water management, and waste minimisation.

• Support audit requirements and traceability standards for conflict-free minerals.
