  • Project management: overseeing the design and development of new products, processes or materials, from the idea to industrialization.
  • Innovation and competitiveness: promoting innovation to maintain the company's competitive advantage.
  • Technological and scientific monitoring: following developments in the market, technologies and regulations.
  • Interdepartmental coordination: working closely with marketing, production, quality and sometimes sales to align projects with market needs.
  • Budgetary and organizational management: defining the necessary resources, managing budgets and planning the research and development stages.

  • Analyze consumer and market needs to guide research.
  • Define priority research areas and establish development plans.
  • Supervise testing, prototypes and technical validations.
  • Ensure product compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Write research reports and present the results to the General Management.
  • Identify partnerships with innovative laboratories, universities or start-ups.
  • Ensuring intellectual property protection (patents, licenses).
  • Raw material control : verifying their conformity to technical and regulatory specifications.
  • Production monitoring: carrying out tests at different stages to detect non-conformities.
  • Finished product control : ensuring that cosmetic products meet quality, efficacy and safety standards.
  • The use of measuring instruments: spectrophotometers, chromatographs, calipers, comparators, etc.
  • Documentation and traceability: recording results, writing reports and ensuring batch traceability.
  • Regulatory monitoring: applying ISO standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other sector-specific regulations.
  • Have a higher education diploma in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, applied biology, process engineering or equivalent.
  • Have prior and proven experience in R&D, preferably in cosmetics: minimum 5 years in formulation laboratories or innovation departments.
  • Practical experience in management: supervision of multidisciplinary teams (chemists, biologists, technicians).
  • Industrial knowledge: manufacturing processes, quality control,
