Repton Al Barsha is seeking to recruit a committed, hardworking and dynamic Head of Senior School to take post in August 2026.

Under the direction of the Principal, the Head of Senior School provides inspirational leadership, strategic direction, and a deep sense of care for the Senior School (Year 7-13), ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and pastoral care. The Head of Junior School fosters a culture of warmth, ambition, and inclusion, where pupils thrive and staff are supported to do their best work.

Core Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership & Vision
• Lead the Senior School with clarity and purpose, ensuring every child is known, supported, and inspired.
• Collaborate with the Principal and the SLT to shape and implement the school s strategic plan, embedding the school s values and vision in all aspects of Senior School life.
• Ensure the Senior School is aligned with the wider whole-school goals, particularly in curriculum continuity, transition, and shared culture with the Junior School.
• Use data, self-evaluation and stakeholder feedback to identify and implement meaningful school improvement initiatives.
• Oversee curriculum development and design across FS and KS1/2, ensuring it is broad, balanced, inclusive and inspiring.
• Lead and support a dynamic team of senior leaders, middle leaders and teachers with clarity, trust and respect.

Requirements:

• Significant and successful leadership experience in a secondary setting
• Proven record of leading school improvement and managing change
• Deep understanding of the English National Curriculum; GCSEs and A-levels
• Inspirational communicator and leader with emotional intelligence and humility
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Understanding of the transition from Key Stage 2 to 3
• Collaborative, empathetic and able to build strong relationships
• Passionate about children s learning, wellbeing and character development
• Skilled in curriculum design and innovation
• Confident using data to inform planning and decision-making
• Skilled in leading and developing high-performing teams

Key Accountabilities:

• Member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Chair of the Senior School SLT.
• Reports directly to the Principal.
• Responsible for safeguarding, operational management, and academic and pastoral standards in the Senior School.
• Line manager to Senior School Deputy Heads, Assistant Heads and other leaders as appropriate.
• Represents the Senior School in governor meetings and in whole-school forums as required.

Desirable:

• Experience working in international schools
• Familiarity with KHDA or similar regulatory bodies
• Experience leading a junior school that transitions into a senior school
