Role Purpose

The Head of Strategy & Architecture is responsible for defining and driving the enterprise information & technology strategy, target architecture, and business-aligned technology capabilities. The role acts as a strategic business partner, translating business strategy and requirements into future-ready, secure, and cost-effective solutions, while enabling innovation and digital transformation. The role acts as the bridge between business strategy and technology execution, ensuring clear and effective communication across IT and business stakeholders. 

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the strategy and architecture team, defining and maintaining the enterprise Information & Technology strategy aligned with IT’s vision and corporate objectives. 

• Develop and execute multi-year technology roadmap, through advising the CIO and leadership team on technology direction and strategic trade-offs. 

• Ensure clear, complete, and prioritized business requirements are defined early to inform IT business planning. 

• Translate business needs into technology and architecture requirements. 

• Define, govern and implement an enterprise architecture framework, establishing IT as the ‘technical and design authority’. 

• Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and reference models. 

• Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, resilience, security, and regulatory compliance.  

• Responsible for IT department wide communication plan, translating complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly narratives. 

• Support technology investment planning and guide build/buy/partner decisions. 

• Monitor and assess emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating business value and readiness adoption
