Job overview

Can you turn historical inquiry into an exciting journey of discovery for your students? At Queen's International School, we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our vibrant Humanities Team for the 2026-27 academic year.

The Role

This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with experience teaching Key Stage 3, iGCSE and A-Level History, who can ignite curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students make meaningful connections between past and present. You will deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons, contribute to the development of a rich and globally minded curriculum, and create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. As part of an international school, you will draw on diverse perspectives, promote intercultural understanding, and help students appreciate the complexity of world histories.

You will:

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning aligned with the English National Curriculum.

Inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential academically and personally.

Plan creative and challenging lessons that stretch every learner.

Use assessment and feedback effectively to ensure continual progress.

Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the department s curriculum.

Contribute to the school s vibrant co-curricular and enrichment programme.

Embody the values and vision of Queen s and Artemis Education in everything you do.

The Ideal Candidate

A qualified teacher with a Bachelor s degree in History and PGCE/QTS (or equivalent).

Has at least 5 years' experience teaching the English National Curriculum in the Secondary phase.

An educator with a proven record of successful teaching Key Stage 3, iGCSE and A-Level, ideally within international or British curriculum schools.

Skilled at creating inclusive, engaging learning environments that challenge and support every student.

Confident in integrating technology to enhance learning experiences.

A collaborative professional who thrives in a diverse, forward-thinking team.

Enthusiastic, creative, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation
