HSE Engineer

Main job role:

• Ensure the operational implementation of the SAIDAL Group's HSE policy and contribute to the control of occupational risks and environmental aspects, as well as to the deployment and continuous improvement of SME management systems according to ISO 14001 and SMSST according to ISO 45001.

The main tasks:

• Risk management: identifying, assessing and controlling risks related to the safety of people (work accidents, occupational diseases) and the environment.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) and applicable national/European legislation.
• Training and awareness: Train and inform staff on safety instructions, specific risks and procedures to follow.
• Control and audit: Conduct field surveillance rounds, audit sites and suppliers, and inspect equipment.
• Investigation and reporting: Analyze workplace accidents or environmental incidents, determine their causes and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in hazard identification and occupational risk assessment.
• Contribute to the identification and assessment of environmental aspects.
• Conduct HSE inspections and internal audits.
• Monitor HSE performance indicators.
• Contribute to the dissemination of HSE culture within the entities.

Responsibilities:

• The HSE engineer ensures the application of HSE requirements at the operational level. They participate in regulatory compliance and contribute to the performance of the HSE management system. They can report any undesirable events and propose appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
