Job Overview:

The HSE Promoter will be responsible for implementing and promoting health, safety, and environmental standards across shipyard and oil & gas operations. The role requires ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and raising awareness among employees to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Promote a strong HSE culture across all levels of the organization.

• Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

• Implement and monitor compliance with HSE policies and procedures.

• Deliver toolbox talks, safety induction sessions, and awareness programs.

• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.

• Support line management in maintaining workplace safety and environmental standards.

• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety guidelines.

• Prepare daily/weekly HSE performance and incident reports.

• Coordinate emergency response drills and maintain safety documentation.

• Assist the HSE Manager in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: NEBOSH Certification (Mandatory).

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in Shipyard or Oil & Gas industry.

• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards, hazard management, and environmental protection.

• Familiarity with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 standards preferred.

• Good knowledge of incident reporting systems and risk control measures.

• Experience in Gulf or overseas industrial projects preferred.

Required Skills:

• Strong communication and safety awareness skills.

• Ability to lead safety campaigns and training programs effectively.

• Excellent observational, analytical, and reporting abilities.

• Knowledge of HSE documentation and regulatory compliance.

• Team-oriented with the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels.

• Commitment to maintaining high HSE standards in challenging environments.
