Administrative

-Direct & co-ordinate the work of the Contractors personnel in his area of responsibility.

-Maintain spares required, tools and testing equipment.

-Prepare and submit daily activity report to the company's representative.

Operational

-Direct maintenance and repair of all instrumentation equipment & control systems.

-Diagnose problems investigates breakdowns with analytical equipment and inputs to failure reports and submits the report to engineer for further analysis.

-Perform and/or direct preventive maintenance and/or overhauls defined in the preventive maintenance & survey program.

-Ensures availability & distribution of correct manning levels & requisite tools & equipment to start the works.

-Carry out the job function of any other instrumentation supervisor when required to do so.

-Inputs to Engineer on status of all instrumentation in the area.

-Ensure safe working conditions for personnel.

-Attends to call out duties after normal working hours.

-Complies with the contract clauses in implementing the routine/preventive/corrective maintenance and survery programme by contractor's personnel.

Skill Level Description

Qualifications

-Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering ( 3 years regular course ) from a recognized and reputed university or Engineering degree in Instrumentation/Electronics.

-Ten (10) years (post diploma) Five (5) years post degree experience in similar facilities to those specified in the Technical specification with preferably last three (3) years in a Supervisory position.

-Have the skill to check, calibrate and repair all types of fire & gas instruments and electronic instruments and shall have the skill to diagnose and troubleshoot microprocessor /PLC based control system and protective interlocks.

-PLC based fire & gas detection and suppression systems, Fire alarm panels etc.

-PLC s like ICS Triplex, Ge Fanuc, Allen Bradley, HIMA, Siemens, etc.

-DCS s such as Emerson Delta-V, Foxbro Invensys/Honeywell TDC 3000 and like.

-Safety systems, SIL ratings, ESD systems

-Office automation software like MS Word, Excel, Access etc

-Drives vehicles assigned by the Contractor.

-Have the ability to prepare maintenance forms, reports, etc.
