IT Quality Assurance Specialist

As a IT Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll be the guardian of our product quality, responsible for testing our mobile wallet applications across iOS and Android platforms. As well as our web portal and Kiosks.

• Perform comprehensive testing of iOS and Android mobile wallet applications across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for all new features and releases
• Test critical payment flows including card transactions, peer-to-peer transfers, bill payments, remittances, and wallet top-ups
• Validate user interface, user experience, navigation flows, and visual design consistency
• Test application performance, load handling, responsiveness, and stability under various conditions
• Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities in payment processes and data handling
• Verify integration with third-party services including payment gateways, banks, and card networks

AI-Powered Testing:

• Utilize AI testing tools (TestRigor, Applitools, Testim, Mabl, etc.) to automate repetitive test scenarios
• Leverage AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to generate test cases, test data, and testing scripts
• Use AI-powered visual testing tools to detect UI inconsistencies and regression issues
• Implement AI-driven test optimization to identify high-risk areas requiring deeper testing
• Explore and integrate emerging AI QA tools to continuously improve testing efficiency
• Use AI to analyze bug patterns and predict potential problem areas.

Test Planning & Documentation:

• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for new features and releases
• Design and maintain test case repositories organized by feature, priority, and test type
• Document test results, defects, and quality metrics clearly and thoroughly
• Develop testing checklists and quality gates for different release stages
• Maintain up-to-date testing documentation and knowledge base

Bug Tracking & Quality Assurance:

• Identify, document, and track bugs with detailed reproduction steps, screenshots, and logs
• Assign severity and priority levels to defects based on business impact
• Collaborate with developers to clarify issues, verify fixes, and conduct retesting
• Ensure all critical and high-priority bugs are resolved before release
• Perform smoke testing and sanity checks on bug fixes
• Monitor bug trends and quality metrics to identify systemic issues

Automation & Continuous Improvement:

• Build and maintain automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing
• Implement continuous testing practices integrated with CI/CD pipelines
• Identify opportunities to automate manual testing workflows
• Recommend and implement tools, frameworks, and processes to improve QA efficiency
• Stay current with mobile testing best practices and industry trends
• Contribute to improving overall product quality culture within the organization

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
• Partner with developers during feature development to prevent defects early
• Communicate testing progress, blockers, and risks to stakeholders
• Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospective meetings
• Provide quality perspective in product design and technical architecture discussions.

AI Tools Proficiency:

• Comfortable using AI assistants to accelerate work (test case generation, script writing, problem-solving)
• Quick learner eager to explore and adopt new AI-powered testing tools
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated test cases and outputs
• Understanding of how to prompt AI tools effectively for QA tasks

Domain Knowledge:

• Experience testing fintech, payment, banking, or financial services applications strongly preferred
• Understanding of payment processing flows, transaction security, and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Mobile Top 10)
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and PCI DSS standards

• Strong attention to detail with ability to spot subtle defects and edge cases
• Logical thinking to design comprehensive test scenarios and coverage
• Root cause analysis skills to understand why bugs occur
• Ability to think from end-user perspective and anticipate user behavior
