Job Title: Landscape Manager

A Landscape Manager at NEOM Palace, Sharma will control landscape and grounds management palace wide and will maintain effective working relationships with all ESOM employees, the client and all other internal and external stakeholders involved in the execution of their assigned duties.

Essential Job Functions

• Manages all facets of his action, and productivity, controlling their quality and quantity of output and taking responsibility for their behavior and work.

• Manages landscape and grounds maintenance, projects, and programs for all NEOM Palace areas such as the villas, rawlands, roadsides and beaches.

• Will report any and all deficiencies noted in other areas such as hardscape, lighting, irrigation and electrical.

• Sets daily, weekly, monthly and annual programs and objectives.

• Coordinates with the client and ESOM staff in establishing priorities and the scope of landscape and grounds maintenance activities.

• Manages staff data such as attendance and controls inventory for his team and the wider department.

• Participates in meetings and departmental discussions as required.

• Assists in the administration and budgeting of programs, staffing, equipment, materials and supplies and submits budget recommendations.

• Monitors expenditures and usage and submits requisitions in a timely manner.

• Serves as liaison between his area of responsibility and the client representative.

• Enforce all Palace and ESOM H&S policies and procedures including training, safe working practices and the use of PPE.

• Commits to the success prior to and during missions to ensure the total satisfaction of the Client.

• Performs any and all other duties as may reasonably be requested.

Qualifications

Education and Experience-:

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a related field. Ideally Bachelors.

• Five (5) years of related experience to include landscape and grounds management, facility management, and supervisory experience.

Additional Credentials

• Valid driver’s license.

• The ability to communicate fluently in both Arabic and English.

• Will be required to work varied work schedules.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of basic accounting, record-keeping, and reporting principles and procedures.

• The ability to manage, train and mentor large and culturally diverse teams, and to minimize disagreements maintaining harmony within his group.

  
  

  • Knowledge of advanced landscape, turf and horticultural maintenance management practices and techniques.

  • Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of construction, landscape and grounds maintenance, facility and repairs activities specific to large landscape operations.

  • Knowledge of advanced safety principles and practices of landscape and grounds maintenance.

  • Knowledge of related national laws and local regulations as they relate to the Palace operations and maintenance work.

  • Knowledge of basic stock and consumables management.

  • Knowledge of planning, scheduling and managing of work processes.

  • Ability to manage multiple, activities and the staff, tools, equipment and people involved.

  • Ability to organize, direct, and implement maintenance and repair schedules.

  • Ability to identify work hazards or liabilities that may be encountered in the course of performing work duties.

  • The ability to estimate time, materials, and supplies required to complete assigned projects.

  • The ability to operate a personal computer using standard or customized software applications appropriate to assigned tasks.

  • The ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines.

  • A thorough understanding of horticultural pesticides, pesticide and fertilizing programs.

  • An in-depth understanding of irrigation systems and plant water and nutrient requirements.
