The Role

The Learning Assistant supports the classroom teacher in promoting the learning and personal development of students, providing a learning environment that supports their developmental and educational needs, under the overall direction of the class teacher.

Requirements

The successful applicant will:

• Minimum High School / Secondary School education in English and Math at A level

• High level of written and spoken English

• Graduates preferred
  

• Experience or aptitude for working with students with special educational needs, previous teaching or learning assistant experience preferred
  

• Knowledge of The National Curriculum for England and Wales preferred
  

• Possess a strong focus on the pastoral care of children, as well as the ability to identify and report safeguarding concerns
  

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a positive approach to both individual and collaborative professional development.
