Logistics Coordinator HOMEWIDE LLC

The Logistics Coordinator supports the Logistics Supervisor in managing day-to-day logistics operations to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of appliances. The role involves coordinating transportation, scheduling deliveries, managing documentation, and supporting delivery teams to meet customer and operational requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation of products between warehouses, service centers, and customer locations.

• Review customer orders and plan delivery schedules accordingly.

• Arrange transportation and delivery routes to meet customer timelines with minimal delays.

• Receive products and coordinate onward deliveries.

• Verify and confirm all postponed deliveries in the CRM system.

• Monitor daily delivery execution and address operational issues in a timely manner.

• Analyze delivery performance and conduct sample customer follow-up calls (minimum 3 customers per team per day).

• Identify and resolve delivery-related issues to maintain service quality.

• Ensure proper documentation related to deliveries, handovers, and confirmations.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Support the Logistics Supervisor in coordinating delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

• Assist in resource allocation and daily workload assignments based on delivery requirements.

• Monitor driver and helper deployment to ensure optimal utilization.

• Support schedule adjustments and delivery prioritization to meet service level targets.

• Escalate performance gaps, delays, or resource constraints to the Logistics Supervisor.

  Organizational Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery vehicles follow routine maintenance schedules and report major mechanical issues to approved vendors.

  • Monitor warehouse capacity to maintain optimal space utilization.

  • Support inventory tracking of goods and delivery vehicles in coordination with warehouse staff.

  • Take preventive measures to avoid quality control issues during storage and transportation.

  • Monitor freight and transportation costs and support initiatives to reduce unnecessary expenses.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and logistics procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
