• Read and understand construction drawings, plans and specifications, machine drawings and suggest modifications to the machine to improve the productivity of the machines
• Automate machines focused on improving safety, quality and productivity
• Create SOP/ work instruction for maintenance activities and basic machine operation as required
• Standardize the machine parts to reduce the requirement to buy multiple spares where possible
• Perform work hands-on with or without team; should be flexible to work as required during breakdowns or similar other requirements
• Reduce the MTTR for breakdowns and improve MTBF
• Maintain spares – with or without the use of software
• Perform installation of machines with proper risk assessment; training and handover to production team
• Perform other duties of manufacturing/industrial engineer as per the priority set by the department manager
• Perform maintenance of all assets of the plant with or without available resources
• Organize, implement and direct facility maintenance operations and activities.
• Supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff.
• Interpret and explain pertinent department policies and procedures.
• Develop cost estimates for supplies and equipment.
• Perform the most complex maintenance duties and operate related equipment.
• Demonstrate tact and diplomacy with the public.
• Develop and recommend systems and procedures related to assigned operations.
• Operate office equipment including computers and supporting word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING: Lean manufacturing principles, capital equipment procurement techniques along with clear understanding of business processes.
