Position Title: Manager CNC Maintenance
Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose

The Manager CNC Maintenance is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance activities related to CNC machines and associated fabrication equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. The role focuses on preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while driving continuous improvement, cost control, and compliance with Saudi industrial and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

CNC & Equipment Maintenance

• Plan, organize, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for CNC machines such as:
• CNC Plasma & Oxy-fuel cutting machines
• CNC Laser cutting machines
• CNC Press Brakes
• CNC Plate Bending / Rolling machines
• CNC Drilling, Milling, and Machining Centers
• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize downtime through effective maintenance strategies.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions (RCA).

Maintenance Management & Planning

• Develop and monitor maintenance schedules, checklists, and SOPs for all CNC and allied equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, history logs, spares consumption, and downtime reports using CMMS or ERP systems.
• Prepare annual maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs without compromising equipment reliability.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of mechanical, electrical, and CNC maintenance technicians.
• Assign jobs, monitor performance, and ensure skill development through training and coaching.
• Ensure adequate manpower planning to support shift operations.

Spare Parts & Vendor Management

• Identify critical spares, optimize inventory levels, and ensure availability to avoid production loss.
• Coordinate with OEMs, service providers, and local vendors for AMC, breakdown support, and machine upgrades.
• Evaluate suppliers for quality, cost, and service efficiency.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, Aramco / SABIC safety standards (if applicable), and company HSE requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, tool box talks, and safety audits related to maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper machine guarding, interlocks, and safe maintenance practices (LOTO).

Continuous Improvement & Projects

• Implement TPM, Lean Maintenance, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives.
• Support installation, commissioning, relocation, and upgrading of CNC machines.
• Drive productivity improvement and energy efficiency projects.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Relevant technical certifications in CNC maintenance or industrial automation are an advantage

Experience

• 10-15 years of maintenance experience in a steel fabrication or heavy engineering environment
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role handling CNC maintenance
• Strong exposure to CNC machine troubleshooting, drives, PLCs, servo systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of:
• CNC controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, etc.)
• Electrical panels, VFDs, servo drives, motors
• Hydraulics and pneumatics systems
• Ability to read and interpret:
• Electrical schematics
• Mechanical drawings
• PLC ladder logic (basic to intermediate)
• Familiarity with CMMS / ERP systems

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work extended hours during breakdowns or shutdowns
• Experience working in the GCC / Saudi Arabia will be a strong advantage
• Valid driving license preferred
