Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP BIM Coordinatorwith 10 years of construction experience and working knowledge of Quantity Surveying (QS) to coordinate MEP BIM models, ensure clash-free designs, support quantity take-offs, and assist commercial teams on projects in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will play a key role in BIM coordination, constructability review, quantity validation, and authority compliance.

Key Responsibilities

MEP BIM Coordination

• Develop, coordinate, and manage MEP BIM models (LOD 300 to 400) using Revit
• Coordinate MEP models with architectural and structural disciplines
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project standards

Shop Drawings & Technical Submittals

• Prepare and review MEP shop drawings (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, Electrical, ELV)
• Ensure coordination between BIM models and shop drawings
• Review technical submittals and ensure constructability and compliance

Quantity Surveying & Commercial Support

• Extract accurate MEP quantities from BIM models for BOQs and cost control
• Support quantity take-offs, measurement verification, and variation assessments
• Assist QS/commercial teams in validating subcontractor quantities and claims
• Coordinate model updates in line with approved variations and changes

Authority & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure MEP designs comply with Abu Dhabi authority requirements
  (ADDC, ADCD, Etihad Water & Electricity, Estidama, etc.)
• Support authority submissions and respond to technical comments
• Ensure compliance with Estidama Pearl Rating System and energy efficiency requirements

Site Coordination & Construction Support

• Provide BIM and technical support to site execution teams
• Attend coordination meetings, workshops, and site inspections
• Resolve RFIs, clashes, and site coordination issues

Documentation & Handover

• Support preparation of as-built MEP BIM models
• Assist in compilation of O&M manuals and handover documentation
• Ensure final BIM deliverables reflect actual site conditions

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience

• 10 years of total experience in MEP BIM coordination
• Strong experience in Abu Dhabi construction projects
• Proven exposure to QS / quantity take-off and cost coordination

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Revit MEP and Navisworks Manage
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction sequencing, and coordination
• Experience in BIM-based quantity take-off and measurement

Software Skills

• Revit MEP (Advanced)
• Navisworks Manage
• AutoCAD
• MS Excel (for quantity and cost analysis)
• BIM 360 / ACC (preferred)

Competencies

• Strong coordination and communication skills
• High attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Ability to manage multiple disciplines and deadlines
• Good understanding of commercial and contractual impacts

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working with main contractors or MEP contractors in Abu Dhabi
• Strong authority liaison experience
• Experience on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects
