Mobile Crane Operator

Main tasks:

• Operating a crane and handling loads.

Duties (tasks and responsibilities):

• To take into account and communicate to one's hierarchy any risk that could compromise the exercise of one's activity, and to implement the appropriate actions in accordance with the guidelines.
• Perform the pre-operation checks on the lifting equipment (unblocking, stabilization, etc.) and check the condition of the equipment.
• Access the cab, perform transmission system tests, ... and put the crane into working order.
• Maneuver the crane, position the pulley block and sling the loads.
• Lifting and distributing loads at different locations.
• Check the condition of the crane, identify any malfunctions and report them to the Manager.
• Put the crane in out-of-service configuration and perform the end-of-shift safety operations (electrical supply...).

In terms of QHSE:

• Respect the general safety instructions and rules in force within the Company and on the Project site.
• Apply the procedures and rules dictated within the framework of the Integrated Management System.
• Bring appropriate collective and individual protective equipment (CPE and PPE) to the project level.
• Follow the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer, contained in the equipment or machine's user manual.
• Checks the condition of the equipment to ensure there are no defects that could harm safety and/or the environment and reports any anomalies found.
• Maintain your equipment after each use, check and report any leaks (water, fuel, oils...) to avoid waste and environmental pollution.
• To operate, handle and use one's equipment with professionalism, caution... and in strict compliance with safety rules.
• Communicate any malfunction or relevant information related to the activity to your superiors.
