Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Node.js Developer to join our dynamic team at ValueLabs, a rapidly growing, employee-centric company with 28+ office locations worldwide. Responsibilities:
1. Develop high-quality, scalable, and performant Node.js applications for a banking application project.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Contribute to the design and architecture of the application, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
4. Develop and maintain documentation for applications, including architecture diagrams, code comments, and API documentation.
5. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and adherence to best practices.
6. Identify and resolve technical issues, and implement improvements to optimize application performance.
7. Participate in the planning and estimation of project timelines, and ensure that milestones are met.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Node.js development, and incorporate them into the team's work.
9. Mentor junior developers, helping them grow and develop their skills.
10. Collaborate with other developers to share knowledge and ensure consistency across projects.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in Node.js.
3. Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and related frameworks.
4. Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
5. Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
6. Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
7. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
8. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
10. Experience in mentoring and leading a team of developers is a plus.
