The Plant Manager is responsible for day to day operations of the entire manufacturing facility which include safety, quality, efficiency and management expectations. This includes driving strategic plans that ensure that production goals are met in the most cost-effective manner delivering expected financial results. To ensure that the facility provides the highest quality products produced in the most efficient manner within budgeted costs. Implements systems to effectively manage production schedules properly supporting the business.

1. Inventory

• To plan the procurement & issue of raw material required for daily production.

• To maintain and reconcile statements for raw materials as well as other consumables that are required in the production process.

• Maintaining warehouse records such as preparing reconciliation statements of raw material, diesel, spare parts and any other consumables.

• Manages all inventory lists related to the Maintenance department

1. Production and Maintenance

• Leads the effort and drives manufacturing tools and techniques fostering continuous improvement within the facility. Acts in a proactive manner in regard to problem resolution.

• Manages profit and loss for the facility and drives plant performance.

• Leads the overall strategic planning efforts for the location which include cost reduction initiatives, capital planning and resources as well as in other areas.

• Manages the overall safety, quality, scheduling, production, logistics, maintenance and other administrative functions for the facility.

• Leads the effort in working within all company guidelines and local/state/federal regulations.

• To set, maintain and monitor the processing parameters on machine and moulds as per cycle time and targets established.

• To control the rejection percentage with a maximum limit of 1.5 to 2 % of the production.

• To monitor timely grinding of the rejection and ensure maximum utilization of the scrap.

• Attend preventive maintenance of injection moulding machines, air compressor, diesel generating set, chillers, cooling towers, grinders and other utilities.

• Ensure the efficient operation of preform molding machines and down line equipment.

• Generate machine breakdown history and root cause analysis report and provide the action plan to the management.

• To update on necessary spare parts (local & overseas) requirements for prompt maintenance of machines and utilities.

• Ensure 95% Plant efficiency

1. Manpower

• To ensure all manpower requirements such as operators, electricians, fitters & workers are available at all times and trained accordingly.

• To develope and motivate staff to optimize the workforce. Delivers performance reviews and any feedback to the team as needed.

• To ensure security measures are taken care properly and security staff is monitored regularly.

1. Reports

• Prepare daily report on power consumption of the Generators, PHCN report, Air compressor report and the water PH value of the cooling tower report

• Prepare machine break down reports, mould change reports, machine maintenance history card reports.

• Prepare the daily consumables spares reports

• Submit stock report of local and overseas spares every month

• To prepare and present the following reports as at when due;

a) Previous months ‘Production Efficiency Report’

b) Production Manpower Actual vs Requirement Report

c) Power Usage/Cost Report

d) Monthly Closing Stock & Consumption Report
