Position Overview

This Portfolio Management Analyst role supports First Abu Dhabi Bank s Technology organization by orchestrating annual portfolio planning, managing demand intake, validating business cases, tracking budgets and benefits, and reporting value delivery across all technology initiatives. The position ensures strong alignment with Enterprise Architecture, financial controls, and strategic priorities while enabling data-driven decision-making across the Technology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities


* Collect and manage Technology demand across the portfolio in coordination with Portfolio Heads.
* Lead yearly portfolio planning cycles, ensuring deadlines and governance requirements are met.
* Educate Technology teams on holistic demand prioritization using value-based metrics including financial benefits, enterprise architecture alignment, ESG, customer experience, and compliance.
* Work closely with the Architecture Manager and Portfolio Heads to ensure demand aligns with Enterprise Architecture target state.
* Review incoming Technology demand and share constructive feedback for refinement.
* Review Business Case Documents (BCD) for all technology projects.
* Validate financial metrics, value drivers, expected benefits, and budget accuracy in each BCD.
* Prepare and submit final BCDs to Group Finance for approval.
* Track and report actual budget utilization against planned budget across the Technology portfolio.
* Track realized benefits versus expected benefits and highlight variances or risks.
* Collaborate with Portfolio Heads and Group Finance to refine benefit targets and budget expectations.
* Ensure seamless value tracking once projects go live.
* Report value realization and financial KPIs across all active and completed projects.

Ideal Profile

* Strong understanding of portfolio management, demand planning, and business case development.
* Experience in technology governance, enterprise architecture alignment, or transformation programs.
* Skilled in financial analysis, benefit modelling, and KPI tracking.
* Ability to evaluate project value using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with Technology teams, Finance, and Architecture groups.
* Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong reporting capabilities.
* Able to identify risks and provide early warnings on budget and benefit variances.
