Job overview

Employed by: NCBIS - to support the vision, positive ethos and policies of the school.

Responsible to: Deputy Head (Pastoral / Academic) and Head of Primary

Qualifications: Degree and PGCE or QTS or appropriate teaching qualification.

Experience: Minimum 3 years teaching or other relevant experience.

Contract type: Two-year full time subject to annual renewal.

New Cairo British International School (NCBIS) is looking to recruit an outstanding full-time Primary Class Teacher with the possibility of Subject Leader role (Science).

We have more than 60 nationalities represented among 700 students aged 3-18. The student population is made up of 60% expatriate and 40% Egyptians who must have dual nationality.

The Primary School?

In the primary school the conceptual outcomes of the English National Curriculum are taught through our own bespoke programme of study that appreciates and celebrates our school s cultural diversity. The school is fully accredited by CIS and we are members of COBIS and BSME.

The Secondary School?

The secondary school students follow the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, assessed using the Pearson Progression Scale and GL Assessment (PTM/PTE/PTS)

At Key Stage 4 we take the Edexcel International GCSE examinations in Year 11.

At Key Stage 5 the International A-Levels programme and the IB Diploma Programme are two different routes that are taught in Years 12 and 13.

We are located in New Cairo, a quiet and tranquil part to the east of central Cairo. The small class sizes contribute to our sense of family and enable us to give all our students the attention they require. demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of collegiality

be able to incorporate ICT in their practice
