Job purpose

Lead the execution of Improvement Management process in line with OQ RPI strategic objectives, under Head of Performance Initiatives Management scope, acting as owner of standards / tools for resource planning, prioritization of improvement initiatives, and plans and continuously improve initiatives management procedures, practices, and systems; in order to contribute with Business improvement goals at RPI & Plastics.

The position will act in accordance with the Group s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Strategic Transformation Leadership

  • shape and steer RPI wide Transformation strategy for strategic priorities within his or her scope, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable value and align with the company long term ambitions & Solomon targets.
  • Ensure alignment of initiatives with company objectives, business priorities, and strategic themes.
  • Advise senior management on initiative prioritization, sequencing, and interdependencies.

Governance and Strategic Priority Management

  • Act as focal point and governance lead for assigned strategic priorities, own governance delivery and ensure Sponsors and Core Teams meet agreed performance and reporting standards, progress tracking, and value realization.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive progress reviews, key risks, and performance insights to the Transformation Steering Committee (TSC).
  • Ensure proper documentation, alignment, and accountability for initiatives under each strategic priority.

Performance Analytics and Value Realization

  • Lead initiative performance and value realization assessments, ensuring accurate reporting of financial and operational impact.
  • Translate analytical insights into strategic recommendations for decision-makers.
  • Benchmark performance and identify improvement opportunities across transformation workstreams.
  • Ensure validation of the expected and realized benefits in coordination with BVC

Framework and Methodology Development

  • Develop and enhance the governance framework, templates, and processes for initiative management and performance tracking.
  • Drive adoption of best practices and standardization across all transformation activities.

Stakeholder and Leadership Engagement

  • Engage with senior leadership, initiative sponsors, and functional heads to drive ownership and accountability for transformation outcomes.
  • Facilitate and coordinate key decision-making forums including steering committees and core team reviews.
  • Ensure high-quality, insight-driven materials are presented for executive decision-making.

Communication and Organizational Engagement

  • Lead the preparation of communication materials, presentations, and success stories related to assigned strategic priorities.
  • Support organization-wide communication campaigns, workshops, and engagement sessions to build transformation awareness.

Capability Building and Coaching

  • Mentor Analysts and initiative owners, enhancing their understanding of initiative management and value realization.
  • Contribute to developing departmental capabilities and improving overall transformation maturity.

External: Consultants, benchmarking partners, and industry associations

Education requirements : Bachelor s degree in business, Engineering, or Economics (required), Postgraduate degree (preferred)

Language : Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) | Arabic - Native (desirable)

Background and experience Competencies and skills

  • 10-12 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years in Energy Management and Energy efficiency improvements
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and managing governance processes.
  • Strong understanding of value realization and performance frameworks.

Soft:

  • Strong leadership and influencing capability across senior levels.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Proactive and structured in managing multiple priorities.

Technical:

  • Expert in initiative governance, value tracking, and performance analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and performance dashboards.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or transformation frameworks.
  • Proficient in project and portfolio management tools.
