Job Profile :
The Procurement Manager oversees end-to-end procurement activities for CNG transportation operations, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and supply chain resilience. This role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management, and operational procurement while leading a team of buyers/coordinators.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for CNG/LNG equipment, spare parts, and services.
• Forecast demand and align procurement plans with operational needs.
• Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
• Implement sustainability initiatives (e.g., eco-friendly suppliers, energy-efficient solutions).
• Conduct detailed spend analysis and market research to identify cost saving opportunities and inform category plans.

Supplier & Contract Management

• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding for technical and non-technical categories.
• Conduct supplier audits and site visits to ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
• Negotiate high-value contracts (fuel supply, fleet maintenance, CAPEX purchases).
• Monitor supplier KPIs (delivery timelines, quality, pricing) and resolve disputes.

Operational Procurement Oversight

• Supervise buyers/coordinators in sourcing, PO processing, and inventory management.
• Ensure procured items (e.g., CNG cylinders, compressors, safety gear) meet technical specs.
• Approve purchase orders and contracts within delegated authority.
• Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Cost Control & Budgeting

• Manage annual procurement budgets and report on cost-saving initiatives.
• Benchmark prices and negotiate bulk purchase discounts.
• Collaborate with finance to align procurement spend with fiscal goals.

Compliance & Risk Mitigation

• Ensure adherence to UAE procurement laws, company policies, and ISO standards.
• Maintain audit-ready records (contracts, supplier docs, POs).
• Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Mentor and guide procurement team (buyers/coordinators) on best practices.
• Liaise with technical teams to validate equipment specifications.
• Partner with logistics for timely delivery and warehousing.
