Job Summary

We are seeking a competent Project Engineer with 7 to 10 years of construction experience to support project planning, execution, and coordination of construction works in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and Abu Dhabi authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Execution

• Assist in managing day-to-day construction activities on site
• Coordinate between site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and ITPs

Planning & Progress Monitoring

• Support preparation and implementation of short-term and long-term construction schedules
• Monitor site progress and productivity and report deviations
• Assist in preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports

Technical & Engineering Support

• Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
• Resolve technical issues in coordination with consultants and senior management

Quality & Safety Compliance

• Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and assist with inspections
• Coordinate consultant and authority inspections and close comments
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safe work practices

Subcontractor & Material Management

• Supervise subcontractor works and ensure quality and schedule compliance
• Coordinate material delivery and ensure proper storage and usage
• Monitor material approvals and site availability

Authority & Documentation Support

• Assist in coordinating approvals with ADM/DMT, ADDC, ADCD, and other authorities
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and handover documents

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

Experience

• 7 to 10 years of construction experience
• Strong exposure to Abu Dhabi construction projects
• Experience in building, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of construction methods and sequencing
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority regulations and approval processes
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office; basic knowledge of Primavera P6/MS Project preferred
