Project Engineer Arab Contractors (Dubai) LLC

1. Technical Documentation & Compliance

• Drawings & Specifications: Interpret and manage all construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Ensure the site team and subcontractors are working to the latest approved revisions.
• Submittals Management: Prepare, review, and track all technical submittals, including Material Approval Requests (MARs) and Method Statements (MS), ensuring timely submission and approval from the Consultant/Client.
• RFI Management: Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process, generating and tracking technical queries to the Consultant/Design team to resolve discrepancies and clarify design intent.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all works are executed in strict accordance with relevant local regulations, building codes, and authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense).

2. Site Execution & Coordination

• Quality Control (QA/QC): Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks. Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) to the Consultant and ensure all corrective actions are addressed promptly to maintain high-quality standards.
• Work Supervision: Assist the Construction Manager and Site Engineers in overseeing the daily activities of the workforce and subcontractors for their assigned scope.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical assistance and guidance to the site supervision team (Foremen and Site Engineers) to ensure proper construction techniques are used as per approved method statements.
• Progress Monitoring: Monitor and track daily, weekly, and monthly work progress for the assigned scope against the master project schedule. Identify potential bottlenecks and report any delays to the Project Manager.

3. Resource & Financial Support

• Procurement Support: Collaborate with the Procurement team to prepare technical comparisons and ensure timely ordering and delivery of approved materials and equipment to prevent site delays.
• Quantity Tracking: Assist the Quantity Surveyor in measuring and verifying quantities of work completed by subcontractors for payment applications.
• Change Management: Gather and document site information required for processing Variation Orders (VOs) and internal change requests.

4. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

• Work closely with the HSE team to enforce safety procedures on-site, ensuring all activities are performed in a safe manner and comply with the approved method statements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all workers are aware of potential hazards and safe work practices.
