Over 8+ year’s relevant experience in service companies of having handled pump repair and/or rotating equipment work for different applications, makes and types of Horizontal pumps, Vertical Pump & Screw Pumps. Must possess good understanding of the various types of pumps, their applications and the complete DCI process used in aftermarket pumps/ rotating equipment’s and oil field equipment industry. Must have knowledge of the various fits and tolerances and ability to use the information to safely disassemble and assemble components before, during and after the refurbishment process. Must have the ability to identify the defects and use NDE processes as needed and understand basic defects look like. Must be able to advise the repair scope and spare parts needed to complete the job and be able to advise on the time frame to complete the repair job. Must have skill to use all the available gas cutting machine, hand torch, grinding machine, gas cylinders or other heating, grinding, and cutting machines that may be used for the repair process. Experience in coordinating with the inhouse planning, engineering, and quality team. Must have ability to conduct balancing of rotors and other rotating parts, ability to perform alignment using dial gauge and laser equipment will be an added advantage. Ability to understand and interpret vibration related reports and reasons for vibrations will be desirable. Ability to conduct inspections and troubleshooting on sites and providing a quick analysis to customer will be an added advantage. Ability to understand international standards and specifications, read drawings, as per the job under process. Must have good understanding of the critical parts, wear parts and how they can be stored in disassembled condition and how to identify them before the assembly process. Must be able to maintain cleanliness by appropriate housekeeping around the machines and work areas. International experience and working in multi-cultural environment and team management.
