1. To register the receipt of samples in Microbiology laboratory.

2. Verification of balances and pH meter.

3. Calibration of instruments in the laboratory.

4. Microbial Limit testing of Raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials and water.

5. Sterility testing, BET and LBP testing of sterile products.

6. Maintenance of cultures and use of cultures as per the laid down procedures.

7. Preparation and sterilization of culture media.

8. Growth promotion and sterility testing of culture media.

9. Stock Maintenance for culture media and miscellaneous items in the laboratory.

10. Preparation and testing of disinfectants.

11. Environmental monitoring in production areas and Microbiology laboratory.

12. Perform operator s qualification for related personnel working in sterile area.

13. Daily monitoring of microbiology laboratory.

14. Decontamination of the used media and contaminated items.

15. Analysis of cleaning validation swabs.

16. Microbial assays and antimicrobial effectiveness testing.

17. Testing of compressed gases.

18. To dispose samples after analysis.

19. To follow approved specification and test procedures for analysis.

20. To carry out method validations of BET.

21. To follow approved departmental SOPs

22. To document the testing in all the relevant logbooks.

23. Follow cGMPs and GLPs.

24. Follow safety precautions.

25. Follow the documentation system requirements.

26. Any other responsibilities assigned by Supervisor.
