- Manage and administer MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) contracts, ensuring adherence to FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) conditions of contract throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform detailed cost analysis and value engineering for MEP systems, identifying potential savings and optimizing project budgets.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate variations, claims, and extensions of time, protecting the company's financial interests while fostering collaborative relationships.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for MEP elements, developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential financial and contractual exposures.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly payment applications, ensuring compliance with contract terms and cash flow management.
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters, resolving disputes and proactively managing potential issues to prevent escalation.
- Collaborate with MEP engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
- Monitor and control project costs, tracking expenditures against budget and forecasting potential overruns or savings.
- Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports and financial analyses to senior management, providing insights into project performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to MEP installations and FIDIC contract requirements.
الملف الشخصي المطلوب للمرشحين
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Holds relevant professional certifications such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying and contract management, with a strong focus on MEP projects.
- Exhibits extensive experience in the Middle East construction market, with a preference for candidates with GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience.
- Demonstrates fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in Arabic or another relevant language is a plus.
- Possesses in-depth technical skills in MEP systems, including design, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Exhibits strong proficiency in contract administration, including FIDIC conditions of contract, change management, and dispute resolution.
- Demonstrates excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Shows exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving complex contractual issues.
- Exhibits a proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the physical ability to visit site.
