Rigger III Activities

• Plan and execute complex rigging operations, including the lifting and positioning of large and heavy loads.
• Select and inspect rigging gear such as cables, slings, shackles, and chains for proper use and safety compliance.
• Interpret load charts and ensure rigging complies with weight limits and safety standards.
• Collaborate with crane operators and signal personnel to ensure coordinated lifting operations.
• Monitor load stability and adjust rigging as needed to maintain balance during lifting operations.
• Perform lifts not exceeding 10 ton in weight.
• Set up and dismantle sophisticated rigging systems, ensuring secure and stable configurations.
• Utilize advanced rigging equipment and techniques for specialized tasks.
• Lead and supervise a team of riggers, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Assign tasks to rigging crew members and oversee their work to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Mentor and train junior riggers, sharing expertise and best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive safety assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks.
• Ensure all rigging operations comply with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and enforce strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Identify and address any equipment issues, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
• Keep detailed records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
• Collaborate with crane operators, project managers, and other team members to coordinate rigging operations.
• Communicate effectively using advanced hand signals, radios, and other communication devices.
• Prepare and deliver reports on rigging activities, safety incidents, and project progress.
• Address and resolve any issues that arise during rigging operations, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Apply advanced problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for challenging rigging tasks.
• Adapt to changing conditions and requirements, making quick and effective decisions.
