Key Responsibilities

SAS VIYA Platform Administration

• Deploy and manage SAS VIYA on-premises using open-source Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift, in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle Cloud).
• Validate infrastructure prerequisites and perform technical preparations for Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize SAS applications and infrastructure
• Implement backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data and ensure business continuity
• Automate routine administrative tasks using scripts and scheduling tools.

Customer Support & Issue Resolution

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers experiencing SAS VIYA-related issues
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical problems reported by end-users or detected through monitoring systems
• Analyze log files, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime
• Coordinate with development teams, and customers to ensure issue resolution
• Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate users on effective use of the SAS platform
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong system administration experience with Linux (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or upstream Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts: Pods, Services, Namespaces, Ingress, StatefulSets, PVCs, StorageClasses
• Experience with at least two major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud
• Good experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL administration (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Experience in scripting languages: Bash, Python.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible)
