About the role :

Prior experience supporting the secondary school students.
Establish a supportive and secure psychological environment that encourages students to reach out for help and access continuous care.
To provide a high-quality counselling service to students experiencing a wide range of social, emotional and academic problems.
To provide support, guidance and advice to parents, carers and the school.
To observe confidentiality and to support the school s endeavor to provide excellent teaching and learning for all students.
Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people.
Work closely with the Pastoral team to analyse student behavioural issues, support policy development, and recommend effective solutions.

Skills and qualities:

• A bachelor s degree in psychology (or similar field) and a master s degree in Counselling or Psychotherapy, preferably related to children.

• Minimum 2 years post qualification experience.

• A teaching qualification (PGCE / QTS / Teaching Licence).

• Fluent in both Languages (English & Arabic).

• Must have excellent management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues.

• Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment.
