Socotec Maroc is an international company specializing in control, inspection, and risk management. As part of our financial organization optimization efforts, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen the accounting team and support the Accounting Manager in their duties.

Job Description
Reporting to the Accounting Manager , you will provide strong operational support across all accounting, tax, and closing tasks. You will contribute to ensuring the reliability of accounts, the compliance of processing, and the performance of accounting processes.

Responsibilities

Accounting and operations

Support to the Accounting Manager in maintaining accounts and controlling transactions.
Accounting for supplier invoices and processing of accounting entries in SAGE .
Monthly bank reconciliations , analysis of discrepancies and corrections.
Matching of cash receipts and coordination with the debt collection department.
Participation in supplier payments (preparation of delivery notes).
Monitoring of fixed assets and specific operations.
Closings and balance sheets

Active participation in monthly closings (data collection, checks, analyses).
Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in support of the Accounting Manager.
Contribution to the preparation of financial statements and to the consistency of internal reporting.
Tax and social security declarations

Preparation of VAT returns , Corporate Income Tax (CIT) .
Monitoring of CNSS and mutual insurance declarations.
Monitoring of RAS IS and VAT certificates
Support for coordination with external partners (expertise, audits).
Support & optimization

To provide genuine operational support to the Accounting Manager in daily management.
Support for local agencies in collecting parts and resolving discrepancies.
Working on related topics and being proactive in suggesting improvements to accounting processes.
Participation in cross-functional projects to improve internal control and data quality.
Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's degree (Bac+4/5) in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing
✔ Minimum 3 years of experience in general and analytical accounting ✔ Proficiency in SAGE
software ✔ Knowledge of Moroccan accounting standards and tax/social security obligations ✔ Strong organizational skills, autonomy, rigor, and ability to meet deadlines ✔ Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with various departments ✔ Proactive approach

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Bac+4/5) in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing; minimum
3 years of experience in general and analytical accounting;
proficiency in SAGE
software
; knowledge of Moroccan accounting standards and tax/social security obligations;
strong organizational skills, autonomy, rigor, and respect for deadlines;
excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with various departments;
ability to be a proactive resource
