- Plan and execute database backups, disaster recovery procedures, and failover strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize data loss.
- Automate database administration tasks, such as patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance, to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to understand application requirements and provide database support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and connectivity failures, in a timely manner.
- Stay current with the latest database technologies and trends, recommending and implementing new features and improvements to enhance database capabilities.
- Manage database capacity planning, forecasting future storage needs, and scaling database resources to accommodate growing data volumes.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistent operational practices.

Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in database principles.
Holds relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or similar, demonstrating expertise.
Offers a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in database administration, showcasing a proven track record of successful database management.
Demonstrates experience working in the financial services industry, showcasing understanding of data security and regulatory compliance.
Exhibits advanced proficiency in SQL, database design, and performance tuning techniques, enabling efficient data management.
Demonstrates experience with database migration processes, including planning, execution, and validation, showcasing ability to handle complex projects.
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
