Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the project HSE plan in line with company policies, local regulations, and aviation authority requirements
- Ensure compliance with statutory HSE regulations, client requirements, and contractual obligations
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental risks
- Monitor construction activities related to runway, taxiway, apron, and airside works to ensure safe execution
- Ensure correct use of PPE and adherence to approved method statements and risk assessments
- Coordinate safe work practices for high-risk activities including asphalt paving, concrete works, heavy lifting, night works, and airside operations
- Assist in preparation and review of risk assessments, job safety analysis, and method statements
- Identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are implemented and maintained
- Participate in task risk assessments and toolbox talks prior to critical activities
- Report, record, and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor implementation and close-out of corrective actions
- Conduct HSE inductions for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors
- Deliver regular toolbox talks and safety awareness programs
- Promote a strong safety culture through continuous engagement with site teams
- Monitor environmental controls including waste management, dust suppression, noise control, spill prevention, and environmental protection measures
- Ensure compliance with approved environmental management plans
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact during construction
- Assist with internal HSE audits and regulatory inspections
- Coordinate with client, consultant, and regulatory representatives during site visits
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and non-conformances
- Maintain accurate HSE records, permits, registers, and inspection reports
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports for project management
- Track HSE performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to integrate HSE into daily operations
- Provide HSE guidance and technical advice to site teams
- Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response activities
الملف الشخصي المطلوب للمرشحين
Ideal Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification is mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles within construction projects
- Previous experience in airport, airfield, runway, or large infrastructure projects is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage HSE requirements across multiple contractors and large site teams
- Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and environmental controls
- Familiarity with aviation safety standards and airside operational requirements
- Ability to conduct inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience preparing HSE reports and maintaining structured documentation
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capability
- Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor are an advantage
- Knowledge of runway paving, asphalt works, concrete works, and airside operations
- Experience with emergency response planning and crisis management
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-risk construction environment
- Proactive safety mindset with strong leadership presence
