Responsibilities

Insurance Strategy & Risk Management

• Develop and implement a comprehensive insurance strategy to protect airport assets and mitigate risks.
• Assess insurance needs across various operational domains and negotiate optimal arrangements.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize insurance risks and liabilities.
• Implement risk management techniques including risk retention, transfer, and avoidance.
• Select and maintain appropriate insurance policies and coverage.
• Negotiate cost-effective agreements with insurance providers.

Claims Management

• Oversee timely and accurate processing of insurance claims.
• Collaborate with claims adjusters, legal teams, and stakeholders for efficient resolution.
• Support HSE-related legal reviews during claims or investigations.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

• Monitor insurance regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
• Maintain required insurance licenses and certifications.
• Implement corrective actions based on audit findings.

Budget & Cost Optimization

• Develop and manage the insurance budget, including premiums and claims expenses.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend optimization strategies.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, underwriters, insurers, and service providers.
• Collaborate with vendors to secure optimal insurance coverage.
• Work with Risk, Business Continuity, and Legal teams to meet organizational goals.
• Coordinate crisis management and emergency response planning with relevant authorities.

Reporting & Data Management

• Ensure accurate records of policies, claims, and premiums are maintained.
• Present reports to senior management on insurance and risk performance.
• Analyze insurance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of insurance professionals.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance support.
• Foster a culture of risk awareness, compliance, and safety-first mindset.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies.
• Participate in required safety training and awareness programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
