Senior Mendix Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy high-quality Mendix applications following best practices.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Develop domain models, microflows, integrations, UI components, and custom Java/JavaScript actions.
• Implement secure application architectures and ensure performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Conduct code reviews and promote reusable modules and components.
• Deliver secure, high-performance mobile applications with reliable offline capabilities.

Integration & System Design

• Integrate Mendix apps with external systems (REST, SOAP, OData, Kafka, databases, Azure AD/OIDC).
• Design modular components and publish well-documented APIs.
• Collaborate with architects and infrastructure teams to align solutions with enterprise standards.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions and design workshops.
• Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to refine requirements and estimates.
• Promote development standards and best practices.

Quality & Lifecycle Management

• Implement CI/CD pipelines, Git branching strategies, and automated deployments.
• Perform testing (unit, integration, SIT) and resolve complex issues.
• Oversee application lifecycle including versioning, environments, and releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mendix Advanced or Expert certification (Expert preferred).
• 3+ years of hands-on Mendix development with at least one production-grade application.
• Strong knowledge of domain modeling, microflows, security, integrations, and Mendix architecture.
• Experience with APIs, Git, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience with cloud or on-prem environments (Mendix Cloud, Azure, OpenShift).
• Solid understanding of security, networking, and enterprise integrations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
