Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior PLC Engineer with proven experience in automation and PLC programming. The Senior PLC Engineer will be responsible for developing and commissioning PLC software, supporting system optimisation, and ensuring seamless integration of automated solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities & Authorities

Participation in the planning of systems
Participation in product development and standardization
Independent development of PLC software for the automation of machines and systems
Carrying out technical clarifications and realizing interfaces
Optimizing of existing PLC software and technical standards
Commissioning of systems up to final acceptance
Organization of commissioning and the initiation of optimization work
Prepare and conduct training
Contact for questions about software and programming
Modify existing capital equipment to improve product quality, increase part throughput, decrease cost, and strengthen safety measures
Creation of the technical documentation including, but not limited to design input requirements, specifications, testing protocols, installation, and service procedures
Assist Manufacturing Engineering group with troubleshooting floor equipment when required
Comply with the company safety procedures
Provide timely and detailed status updates
Quality Ensure standards are maintained in a highly regulated, process driven environment
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites
Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet customer project commitments

Requirements

Completed degree in electrical engineering, training as a technician or a similar qualification
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be a self-starter, and team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude
Must be a creative thinker, results-oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy
Must have the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Sharp, quick, dedicated, and innovative problem solver
Core values and continuous self-improvement
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to think designs through completely

Qualifications

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Training as a technician or a similar qualification
Professional experience in automation
Excellent knowledge in PLC programming (S7, TIA) is mandatory
Knowledge of any programming languages like CODESYS, JavaScript, VBA is appreciated
Advanced knowledge of control and drive technology
Ability to analyze and solve problems, independent and exact working
Excellent team and communication skills
Willingness to travel

Experience

Minimum of 2 - 3 years UAE experience in the same field
