Develop new formulas and enhance existing ones according to International norms & cost reduction plans while performing needed tests to ensure compatibility of ingredients

Improve existing formulas by evaluating data sheets, requesting samples, assigning tasks & approving final stability results for raw materials, while ensuring both quality enhancement and cost reduction

Lead the development of new product formulations aligned with emerging industry trends, market briefs, and consumer needs

Utilize and leverage data-driven and AI-powered approaches to maximize stability, sensory quality, and economic efficiency in formulations

Compare formulation designs against leading international references to benchmark and ensure competitive performance and quality

Translate research insights and innovation concepts into lab-tested, validated prototypes ready for scale-up

Identify, recommend, and technically validate cost-optimization initiatives while safeguarding product quality

Support the R&D Manager in implementing cost-saving strategies across Cosmaline's portfolio

Update all regulatory-related files upon changes in requirements, and inform concerned parties

Ensure the conformity of all formulas (Existing & newly developed) with the updated EU Regulations and country requirements

Evaluate product briefs and provide recommendations supported by market research and technical insights

Assist R&D Scientists in all development activities

Prepare and deliver product samples to the Product Development team upon request

Provide the Marketing and Product Development teams with all required information, ingredient details, and codes to support the design process

Review and approve project artworks prior to production to ensure accuracy and compliance

Communicate formulas and processing instructions to the Production team for proper system entry and execution

Ensure timely availability of raw and packaging material documents to avoid project delays

Stay up to date on the latest trends and innovations in the cosmetic and personal care field by conducting continuous research

Research and share relevant technical articles with the Product Development team for future projects

Validate the first production batch in both manufacturing and packing departments

Assist the production team in solving formulation-related issues during production. Update the batch processing instructions accordingly and provide needed training to concerned

Assist the Quality Control team in solving non-conformities of raw and packaging material deviated from the approved specifications

Perform stability testing for all existing formulas and raw materials

Perform needed monthly testing and analysis on near expiry raw materials to avoid any non-conformity risks

Provide constructive feedback to R&D Supervisor and Manager on process improvements and development opportunities

Maintain logbooks and keep accurate conclusions and records

Prepare and submit reports (sample tracking, cost optimization, audits, etc.) to the concerned managers

Mentor R&D Scientists on formulation techniques, documentation standards, and innovation methods

Support the adoption and implementation of the department's strategy: design thinking, agile project work, AI integration and other needed strategic practices

Contribute to idea-generation sessions and guide feasibility testing of new concepts

Act as a technical sounding board for the R&D Supervisor and Manager on complex formulations

Communicate on the effectiveness of open innovation initiatives, including key partnerships, ideas generated, and the acceleration of projects through external collaboration
