ServiceNow SecOps Developer Reliant HR Consultancy

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow SecOps Developer with strong

expertise in the ServiceNow platform and Security Operations modules. The ideal

candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and enhancing ServiceNow

SecOps capabilities while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and

enterprise architecture standards.

This role requires deep experience in ServiceNow application development,

scripting, integrations, and security operations modules, along with the ability to

design scalable solutions and automate security workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new ServiceNow applications and integrations from

initiation to completion, tailored to customer requirements.

• Configure and develop ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) modules,

including Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response.

• Design and implement workflows, scripts, and automation to enhance existing

ServiceNow applications and improve business processes.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and

translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Own the development lifecycle including design, development, testing,

automation, and deployment of high-quality solutions.

• Design robust and scalable features while ensuring that applications and

solutions can evolve with future business requirements.

• Solve complex technical challenges in a dynamic and Agile development

environment.

• Maintain a strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and reusability.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to standardize

processes and build them into the solution design.

• Support integration of ServiceNow with external systems using web services

and APIs.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous

improvement of development practices.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Minimum 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong development

background.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with ServiceNow application development.

• 3 to 5 years of working experience with ServiceNow SecOps modules,

including:

o Security Incident Response (SIR)

o Vulnerability Response (VR)

o ServiceNow platform-level capabilities.

• Expertise-level understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities.

• Ability to understand business needs and standardize processes, translating

requirements into high-level architectural or supporting solutions.

• Strong understanding of:

o Service-oriented architecture

o Software application architecture

o Platform design best practices.

• Experience consulting with stakeholders on technical architecture and

solution design.

Technical Skills

• Strong development experience with JavaScript (ES5+), HTML, CSS/SCSS, SQL.

• Experience working with web technologies and modern development

practices.

• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS or React – a plus.

• Experience with web-based protocols and standards, including:

o Web Services

o SOAP

o REST

o WSDL

o XML

• Good understanding of:

o Data structures

o Algorithms

o Object-oriented design

o Design patterns

o Performance and scalability considerations.

Development & Methodology

• Experience working in Scrum / Agile development environments.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams.

• Experience leading small project teams – a plus.

• Strong focus on quality engineering, code standards, and reusable

development practices.
