• Education: Ph. D or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in a laboratory environment focused on drilling fluids or oilfield chemicals.
• Strong background in product development, scale-up processes, and formulation improvement for both water-based and oil-based systems.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, quality requirements, raw material evaluation, and industry standards.
• Able to troubleshoot complex chemistry and production issues and support QA and manufacturing teams during scale-up.
• Experience guiding and training junior chemists or lab teams, with the ability to act as second-in-charge when required.
• Clear and confident communication skills for technical reporting, data interpretation, and cross-department coordination.
• Able to interpret complex data, run detailed laboratory analyses, and validate results with accuracy.
• Strong capability in designing, formulating, and optimizing chemical products from lab scale to field application.
• Skilled in identifying root causes, troubleshooting formulation issues, and proposing practical solutions.
• Ability to explore new raw materials, improve existing formulations, and introduce innovative product ideas.
• Confident in managing R&D projects, coordinating cross-functional activities, and delivering results within timelines.
• High accuracy in documentation, testing procedures, and product stewardship responsibilities.
