Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and oversee the MEP Engineering Team throughout all stages of design and construction.
• Mentor and guide Jr engineers, ensuring continuous technical development and knowledge transfer within the team.

Design Review & Technical Validation

• Review, validate, and provide approvals on all MEP engineering drawings, technical specifications, and coordination layouts.
• Ensure designs align with local regulations, international standards, and client requirements.
• Evaluate and approve method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for compliance and constructability.

Coordination & Integration

• Coordinate the MEP scope with other engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless integration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve design or interface issues.

Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise MEP subcontractors during on-site execution, ensuring adherence to approved plans and resolving any technical conflicts.
• Ensure that MEP systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications and contractual obligations.
• Monitor field activities to ensure safety protocols and quality standards are consistently met.

Project Documentation & Controls

• Manage RFIs, NCRs and other technical correspondence.
• Support the project team in identifying and implementing value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures.
• Participate in project progress meetings and provide timely updates on MEP work status, risks, and mitigation plans.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, power distribution, ELV, and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with MEP design software such as AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and BIM tools.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in MEP engineering, including at least 3 to 5 years in a senior or lead engineering position.
• Demonstrated experience working on large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or mixed-use development projects.
• Experience working with international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, etc.) is essential.
