1. Strategic Planning & Scheduling:

• Full Schedule Development: Lead the creation, maintenance, and management of the Project Master Schedule (Level 1, 2, and 3) using Primavera P6, encompassing Civil, Architectural, and complex MEP works.

• Data Center Expertise: Develop detailed schedules for Data Center projects, coordinating critical paths for fit-outs, UPS/cooling systems installation, and rigorous testing/commissioning phases.

• Resource & Cost Loading: Integrate manpower, equipment, and cost resources into the schedule to track performance and forecast cash flow requirements.

• Critical Path Analysis: regularly analyze the Critical Path to identify potential bottlenecks and propose mitigation strategies to the Project Management team.

2. Contract Management & Claims (Crucial Aspect):

• Delay Analysis: Conduct comprehensive delay analysis (using methods such as Windows Analysis, Time Impact Analysis, or As-Planned vs. As-Built) to determine the cause and effect of delays.

• EOT Preparation: Prepare, submit, and negotiate Extension of Time (EOT) claims based on contract terms (e.g., FIDIC) and Qatar Construction Law.

• Contractual Correspondence: Review and draft contractual letters related to schedule impacts, notices of delay, and disruption events.

• Dispute Resolution Support: Provide expert planning evidence and reports to support the company in case of disputes or arbitration with clients and subcontractors.

3. Project Controls & Reporting:

• Progress Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring systems to track physical progress against the baseline schedule.

• Earned Value Management (EVM): Utilize EVM techniques (SPI, CPI) to report on project health and performance trends to senior management.

• Reporting: Generate high-level executive summaries and detailed weekly/monthly progress reports, highlighting risks, slippages, and corrective actions.

• Baseline Management: Control and approve baseline revisions and change management processes strictly in line with contract requirements.

4. Stakeholder & Team Management:

• Leadership: Manage, mentor, and train a team of planning engineers. Review their work for accuracy and consistency.

• Client & Consultant Liaison: Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants (PMC), and stakeholders to defend the schedule and negotiate timelines.

• Subcontractor Management: Review and integrate subcontractor schedules into the master program; ensure their adherence to project milestones.
