Our physics students achieve strong outcomes, with 50% of A2 students attaining the highest grades of A*-A. At IGCSE, 62% of students achieved top grades 9 7, with excellent progress reflected in a value-added score of +0.9. As a highly skilled practitioner, you will deliver engaging and challenging physics learning across Key Stages 3 5. You will ensure every student is challenged, supported, and motivated to achieve their personal best through high-quality teaching that is adaptive, responsive, and rooted in the belief that all students deserve success. You will draw on evidence-informed strategies to ensure that the needs of every learner are anticipated, the curriculum is accessible, and progress is strong for all. You will also contribute to the continued success of a high-achieving department that consistently delivers strong academic outcomes, enabling students to progress confidently to STEM pathways including engineering, technology, and research.

Beyond the classroom, you will make a meaningful contribution to the wider life of the school by strengthening scientific curiosity and problem-solving through STEM clubs, competitions, Olympiads, and educational visits that connect learning with global scientific progress. You will actively promote a learning environment in which students feel known, valued, and encouraged to think critically and thrive as confident young scientists.

• Outstanding Classroom Practice: Deliver high-quality and engaging physics lessons across KS3 KS5 that promote strong scientific thinking and outstanding academic outcomes
• Adaptive Teaching: Use evidence-informed strategies to ensure every student, including SEND or BML, can access and excel in physics
• Assessment and Progress Tracking: Use assessment intelligently to drive progress, address misconceptions, and ensure continuous improvement
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing refinement of the physics curriculum, ensuring strong sequencing, practical excellence, and alignment with MIS s Framework for Excellence
• Co-Curricular Enrichment: Lead or support STEM clubs, physics competitions, Olympiads, and real-world scientific experiences
• Collaboration and Professional Development: Work proactively with colleagues to share effective practice and strengthen teaching quality across the school
• Student Wellbeing and Relationships: Maintain high expectations for conduct, participation, and achievement while nurturing confidence, curiosity, and resilience
